This last week we finally were able to get our track season 'running'. Highlights from IA Valley:
Sabers got 1st in sprint medley & distance med, 2nd in 4×2, 3rd shuttle hurdles.
Rylee brought home 1st in mile & 2nd long jump, Cheyenne 1st in 400 hurdles, Harlee 3rd open 400
The boys' track meet in Osceola (Clarke) has been postponed for today.
We have just been notified that the JH Track meet at Pella Christian for Thursday has been postponed. We will let you know if/when it will be rescheduled.
The power is out at the elementary and high school. We will not have it back on before school is dismissed at 12:15. We will dismiss any student who has a license to drive at 11:00 to go home. Not all food was prepared before the power went out. We will share food from the HS to the elementary so students can eat before we dismiss at 12:15.

The JH B/G Track meet at Lamoni tonight has been cancelled. The kids will still be having practice until 4:15.

BIG shout-out to our 4th-6th grade students who have stepped up and helped each day clean after lunch and prepare the cafeteria for P.E. classes. They have such enthusiasm for helping! We had to start rotating the positions so everyone could participate!

Three kindergarten girls performed a puppet show for the third grade based on their Second Step lesson about letting everyone play.
6th grade spent the entire day at the high school on Wednesday. They had the opportunity to visit each classroom and hear from each teacher about junior high expectations and requirements. They had a great day and feel they are ready to move across the parking lot!
