The Twin Cedars School District is excited to invite parents and guardians of prospective preschool students to an information meeting on Wednesday, April 16, at 5:00 p.m. at the Elementary School.
During this meeting, parents will:
Learn about significant updates to the preschool program, including an innovative new curriculum that aligns with the science of reading.
Gain detailed information on the registration process for the 2025-26 school year.
Get a glimpse into a typical day for 3-and-4-year-old preschoolers.
Meet the preschool teacher and explore additional resources available through the Twin Cedars School District.
This informational session is a fantastic opportunity to ask questions, meet the staff, and learn how Twin Cedars Elementary is dedicated to providing an enriching environment for early learners.

4th Grade FISTS thought it was great when Mrs. Goemaat was very close to bankruptcy in Spongebob Monopoly this morning. But then their smiles changed when Mrs. Goemaat landed on the Free Parking and collected the $800. 00 in the middle!! Monopoly is a great game to practice so many skills-money, spending/saving and patience.

1st Grade TCATS created Snowmen and then wrote stories. With snow days these took some time to complete but the day finally came to share with their classmates! Abel's snowman was named Gunner and he was stationed on the Bodie Ship in the Arctic Ocean and had a magic snowball machine. Reggie's snowman, Cannon, was also in the military and his goal was to protect Gunner. Emily's snowman, Sophia, was playing at the park and started to melt. She had to run home and jump in the freezer! Great job first grade!!
Snow days, early out days because of snow and even a blizzard warning ...no wonder Mrs. Burk calls it a "Wacky Wednesday" when the Kindergarten TCATS meet with Mrs. Goemaat. Despite all of the missed Wednesdays this group of TCATS persevered and finished their snowman stories! The snowmen were quite busy in their stories, one went to a "friend's house in the middle of the day" and one even went to Phoenix!! And in the words of Rigby, "these took a long time!"
Twin Cedars CSD is looking for an Industrial Tech teacher for the 25/26 school year. We are on a 4-day school week (Tuesday-Friday) with 1 mandatory PD Monday per month. If you are interested please reach out to thallgren@twincedarscsd.org.
"Many hands makes for light work!" The 6th Grade Pickle Trio and 6th Grade Student Council had the opportunity to "serve the community" of Bussey this morning by helping with monthly grocery pick-up. Students worked hard, and were very friendly and courteous!. Way to represent 6th grade group!

Play-Doh was a BIG hit in 1st Grade Art today! Students made umbrellas, flowers, volcanoes, pizza and cookies!
Twin Cedars will dismiss at 2:00 PM today due to the incoming weather. We are expecting winds upwards of 80 MPH at 4:00 PM when our buses would normally be on the road. We want our buses off the road before the storm get here.
