9th-11th grade students and parents: There will be another work-based learning information night at Weiler in Knoxville on January 8th at 6:30pm. This meeting will have the same content shared at the Pella event in November, but they also offer it at Weiler for those who couldn't make it to the November event or who have since become interested in the program.

The Marion County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) would like to invite Class of 2024 graduating seniors from Twin Cedars High School to apply for the District’s $500 scholarship offer. Students will utilize a scholarship application located at https://www.cdiowa.org/get-involved/scholarships/
In addition to the Marion SWCD scholarship, the winning application will be submitted to Conservation Districts of Iowa (CDI) for Regional consideration and, if elevated, a student can be considered for a State level scholarship.
The deadline is February 9, 2024 to have applications submitted to the Marion County Soil & Water Conservation District at: diana.williams@ia.nacdnet.net and copy Carla.ackley@ia.nacdnet.net.


Reminder: Saber basketball is back in action tonight against Tri-County. JV will begin at 6:00 and will play one half. Varsity will start earlier than usual after JV is done. Let's go, Sabers!

The Sabers will be back in action on Jan. 4 at home vs. Tri-County. Due to low numbers at Tri-County, JV will only play one half, then varsity will follow. Please note, varsity start time will be earlier than normal!


Today we celebrated our Students of the Month (Caitlyn Rozenboom, Jaxon Ballard, Joseph Goemaat, Kate Weldon, Bernie Rozenboom, Heartlyn Vancenbrock, Lilly Milledge, Will Grimes, Harlan Miller, Haley DeGeest) and our bus students of the month (Carter Bingham, Karson VanWyhe) and our Library Leader (Carter Bingham). We have 12 students with perfect attendance, 65 students with December perfect attendance. 1st grade keeps control of the attendance trophy. 5th and 6th grade won the Golden Spatula.

Elementary students were surprised and thrilled when they arrived to school yesterday. An elf (a special elementary teacher) had 4 large inflatables for the students to enjoy! Thank-you, elf! Merry Christmas!



Members of Mrs. Moore's culinary arts class delivered cookies to the Marion County Sheriff's Department today!

Christmas Around the World! Students stamped passports in 3 countries today as they learned about traditions and customs in a different land. A BIG thank-you to Makayla Hirchak who planned and prepared for this day!! Students had a great time.
